Your schedules, budgets and site photos, handled with care.
Buildflic holds real project and financial data, so how it is stored, who can reach it and how long it is kept are not afterthoughts. Here is where things stand today, stated plainly.
Four things we hold ourselves to.
Encrypted in transit and at rest
Data moving between your devices and Buildflic is protected with TLS, and data held on our side is encrypted at rest. Site photos and financial figures are treated with the same protection as the rest of your project data.
Role-based access by design
A site engineer, a contractor and a project owner do not need the same view. Access is scoped by role, so each person sees the projects and figures that are theirs to see - and nothing beyond that.
Clear on what is stored
We hold what the engine needs to do its work: your schedules, budgets, progress logs and the site photos you upload. It is used to run your projects inside Buildflic, not repurposed elsewhere.
Retention you can reason about
Project data is retained for as long as your account is active so you can look back across a project's life. On closure, data is removed on a defined schedule rather than kept indefinitely.
Who sees what, and why.
Access follows the role, so the same project reads differently depending on who is looking - by design.
Site engineer
Full detail on the projects they run - logging progress, uploading photos, confirming reads before the plan moves.
Contractor
Schedule, budget and progress across their active projects, with the flags and projections that need action.
Project owner
Verified progress and budget visibility on the projects they hold, without the day-to-day operational detail.
Our compliance posture, stated honestly
Buildflic is an early-stage product, and we would rather be precise than overclaim. We apply encryption in transit and at rest and role-based access today. We are not going to badge ourselves with certifications we do not yet hold - as our compliance programme formalises, we will state exactly what we carry and when. If you have a specific requirement, raise it and we will tell you plainly where we are.
Have a security requirement? Put it to us.
Tell us what your organisation needs around data handling and access, and we will tell you plainly where Buildflic stands today.
